Open
Futurity & Jackpot Rules – 1 go to
all 4 judges
- Open
to all breeds. Futurity secretary must inspect
& keep a copy of the registration papers
(or proof of ownership) on each horse entered.
- POINTS
– every horse showing will be placed
and points will be awarded as follows: 1st
= 1 point, 2nd = 2 points, etc. Points and
placings will be awarded from each judge with
the final placings to be determined by totaling
all points awarded from all four judges. The
horse with the fewest points shall be declared
the winner, the second fewest points will
receive 2nd, etc.
- TIES
– In the event of a tie, the horses
will be deemed to be tied for placings and
monies will be paid out by combining the monetary
award for the respective placings and evenly
split between the horses tied. A tie-breaker
judge shall be designated in advance of the
first go to determine who shall receive any
award.

Payout will be determined by the number of
horses entering the ring. Checks will be mailed
to the winning owners by October 15, 2007.
- All
classes will be run according to APHA rules.

- NO
REFUNDS – no exceptions (unless jackpot
class is canceled).

General
Show Rules
- DOGS
– due to legal liability, the fairgrounds
will not allow ANY dogs (unless for medical
necessity) in the barns or in the arena. We
recognize many of you travel with your dogs
– they are welcome, but only if you
keep them at your camper. They will NOT be
allowed past the blue security gate. We appreciate
your cooperation.
- NSF
checks will be assessed a $25 fee.
- Exhibitor
Responsibility (Rule SC160-E) – exhibitors
are responsible for being knowledgeable of
and for following the current rules, completing
entry form legibly and accurately, reporting
to the gate promptly, and being considerate
of other exhibitors and show management. Additionally,
exhibitors / owners / trainers are responsible
to be knowledgeable of Rule SC-085-A regarding
drugs & medications that are forbidden
or conditionally permitted. Conditionally
permitted substances require a completed medication
report be filed with the show office. We are
here to help you – so please ask if
you are uncertain about anything.
- The
show secretary must inspect the registration
papers (or copies of) on each horse entered
(or a work order for current year foals).
Entries shall be made in the name of the recorded
owner. Geldings are not allowed to show with
stallion papers. Pre-entry available at www.showmyhorse.com
- To
enter Washington Bred classes, exhibitors
must show Washington Bred registration papers.
Contact Washington Bred for more information.
- To
enter Amateur or Novice Amateur classes or
Novice Youth classes, you MUST present a current
year APHA Novice / Amateur card OR complete
an application for an APHA Amateur or Novice
Amateur or Novice Youth card and return it
to the show secretary prior to entry in a
class.
- Youth
exhibitors – if you have a card, please
present during entry process.

The condition of submitting entries or the
first entry into the show ring of a horse
or exhibitor shall be deemed as acceptance
of APHA & INPHC rules.
- The
final right to settle all questions or disputes
arising incidentally to the Horse Show is
reserved to the Show Management. All exhibitors,
trainers, riders, or other participants agree
in advance to be bound thereby to such methods
of settlement.
- Individual
class entry will close (3) classes prior to
entry of that class.

Anyone withdrawing (scratching) from a class
without a THREE (3) class prior notification
shall forfeit their entry fee in accordance
with Rule SC-185-A (exception = non-point
classes).
-
Show management may combine or split classes
according to APHA Rules SC-185-G, AM-080-B,
and YP-075-B.
- Exhibitors
/ owners competing for High Point awards MUST
declare for High Point on their entry before
entering the arena for the first time.
- HIGH
POINT RULES: Youth & Amateur & Novice
Amateur = one horse/one rider combination.
Must show in at least (3) youth or amateur
performance classes. All youth/amateur classes
(including halter) will count toward awards.
Jr. Horse / Sr. Horse = horses must compete
in at least (3) performance classes. All open
classes, including halter, will count toward
awards. Yearlings must exhibit in longeline,
in-hand trail, & halter. Same rules apply
to Amateur Solid Paint-Bred, Open Solid Paint-Bred,
and Yearling Solid Paint-Bred.
- Ties
will be broken by (1) most firsts, (2) most
placings, (3) flip of coin.

Awards MUST be picked up by end of show or
be forfeited.
- Cash
option high points will be subject to any
APHA regulations.
